VG+ in a like jacket, with a bit of shelfwear, small close tears front and back at foot of spine, and a touch of soil to jacket, notably minor discoloration on spine. First edition stated.

Dover , 1979. Soft cover. Very Good. A fairly scarce bit of math and logic puzzles of the sort popularized by Martin Gardner. A good tight paperback binding, with a little wear and a small ding to the front cover, and a little discoloration/toning to rear. Importantly, UNMARKED by anyone who might have tried to take notes as they worked through the puzzles. Previously published as Mathematics on Vacation, this edition has corrections and a new preface by the author.

Jacket front is clean, with tears and a couple of small chips. Rear panel shows some soil and several tears, chip to jacket at bottom of spine. Internally, one page smudge, one page corner minimally bent, one tear at bottom center not affecting illustration. Text and all illustrations are clean and bright. No Caldecott sticker.

Filled with colorful stories of the paper's history. First Printing. Previous owner's name in pen on front pastedown. Near fine, jacket is VG with some wear and small tears, in protective Mylar.

Very nice copy of this collection of short mystery tales from a variety of authors, including Peter Lovesy, Tom Holt, Michael Collins, and many others. The tales in the collection focus on the 1920s, and are split between the UK and US. Very good, slight lean to book, minimal wear.
