Quarto size stapled 1976 booklet featuring the Kaufman, Texas, Elementary School "Bobcats" Mini Pee Wee Football Team. 14 sheets, printed on one side. One page gives names of the Parents Teachers Club, another of the roster of the "Bobcats" and their coaches, also a page for the Midget Football Team. Then there are the lists of "Bobcat Boosters" and Cheerleaders, and two pages of simply illustrated sponsors. And, laid in is a silk or silk-like purple ribbon with "Go Bobcats" in gilt with the gilt head of a bobcat. Very good condition, but on the inside of the front cover and the first page the shadow of the ribbon is "burned" on to the paper. Kaufman is the county seat of Kaufman County in NE Texas.

Gresham was elected to the Indiana Legislature in 1860, served in the Civil War (Vicksburg, Atlanta Campaign, was defeated twice of HR & once for Senate. In 1883 Pres. Arthur appointed him Postmaster General, then Sect'y of the Treasury, and then a U. S. Circuit Judge. Under Pres. Cleveland he became Sect'y of State. Dying in 1895, he is interred at Arlington Nat'l Cemetery. Card is 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", lightly soiled and which the name Benjamin Harrison written in ink on the back. The studio was Falk, 949 Broadway, N.Y.

The leather at top of spine is broken off 1"; water damage to top 1" - 2" of rear cover, with loss of about one square inch of the leather exposing the board underneath, otherwise that area unsightly. Thus a copy that could be left as is, or nicely rebound. A rare volume in any condition. Rader 3137.
