1948. Binder. Good. An unusual, possibly unique item. This is a report done by Dr. Wilhelm Geyger as a scientific consultant in the US Military Government, Berlin Sector, Germany in June 1948. It consists of blueprint style copies of a typed manuscript on magnetic amplifiers, including research work done by the author. I can't find evidence in OCLC that this was ever published. There is a sticker on the first page indicating it was the property of R. L. Briggs. Approximately 70 pages, most typed with a large section in the rear with circuit diagrams, bibliography, etc. Binder.

Amsterdam and New York: North-Holland Pub Co / American Elsevier Publishing Company, 1962. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine. First Edition. Vol 1. 202 pages. "To a student who has learned about Amperian currents but has been told that poles are passe, it must be perplexing to find that theorists in ferromagnetism make constant use of poles but ignore Amperian currents. The resolution of that paradox is one of the specific purposes of this book. The general purpose is to trace systematically the application of magnetostatic principles in modern ferromagnetic theory, especially in single-domain particle theory, micromagnetics, domain theory, and resonance and spin-wave calculations." (from the preface) Title: Magnetostatic Principles in Ferromagnetism : Selected Topics in Solid State Physics Volume 1 [ One ]. Hard Cover.

Boards. "During the past decade, electronic products have undergone immense changes. Most hardware contains tens or hundreds of integrated circuits, many of them surface-mounted devices. Those responsible for maintaining this equipment, however, are struggling to keep up with manufacturers of the gear. Technology has altered the way electronic products are designed and constructed. The service bench needs to change as well. Maintaining Electronic Systems examines the maintenance of electronic systems for critical-use applications and is directed toward technician-level engineering personnel involved in the installation and maintenance of electronic equipment for industry. The book examines electronic systems used today in a wide variety of applications and explains how to identify and correct hardware f ... Read more

Troy, New York: Regal Art Press, 1967. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. First Edition. Vol 1: xxiv, 182 pages, plus colored frontispiece. Original beige cloth with minor soiling. Published in 1962. Vol 2: xxv-xxvi, 183-282 pages. Original red pebbled cloth. Published in 1967. The first volume INSCRIBED by author Smart to Louis P Booz of Perth Amboy NJ in 1964 (his ownership sticker affixed with old cello-tape to the front flyleaf). This reference has been reprinted 2 other times. The original was reprinted in 1968 as a single volume with a combined index. Martino also reprinted this reference as a single volume. Although both reprints are good, we prefer this first edition set because of the use of line drawings, reproductions, and photographs which help document the instruments, and which do not reproduce as cleanly as the original. Useful for anyone studying or collecting American Made surveying instruments, it is a standard reference with documentation about various makers, sources and ... Read more

Paris: G. Steinheil, 1910. Stiff Wrappers. Very Good. Original tan stiff paper boards. 271 pages. Endpapers browned and brittle (as normal with this style binding in this period). Clean internally. "Avec 242 figures dans le texte" - 242 figures in the text. Text in French. Although French is not our first language, the first chapter appears to instruct the reader about how to capture muscle movements electrically and then put them on graph paper. Chapter two appears to talk about tension and molecules??? Chapter Three is Electricity. Chapter 4 relates to the study of luminous radiation (sections on spectroscope and polarimeter as well). Chapter 5 seems to relate to Radium. Scarce, with no copies for sale online that we can find and only 9 copies in OCLC, and only 2 of those in the United States. Stiff Wrappers.
