London: Printed for Sherwood, Neely, and Jones, 1816. Leather Bound. Fair/good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. The text block is tight and square, but both boards are split at the hinge, although bot are holding it is just barely. The upper 20% of the leather covering the spine is off and that along the rear board is chipped off. It is rubbed through at the tips of the corners. It has gray end papers and 154, clear pages with occasional foxing in a three-quarter binding with brown leather on the spine and corners. There were gilt titles on the spine, mostly gone. There is a book mark on the front paste down and on the ffep, the 1867 signature of Seldon Connor former civil war general and governor of Maine,

The black & white illustrations are great and it has 253 pages with some light toning mainly on the end papers. there is no date, but 1910 seems about right based on the books advertised on the dust jacket.
