Back cover and inside front cover have former owner's name / address in pen at top margin. Some pencil to a couple pages, including a couple lines of handwritten melody (music notes) for the song "Buy Me Out on the Prairie."

The front wraps have a great b&w photo of a man playing guitar and harmonica with a boy standing next to him. The back wraps are faded around the edges from the original light blue to tan.

Overall light to light+ wear.

The same scout's membership card for 1948 is included inside the pamphlet. Pamphlet summarizes changes to ranks/badges between the 1940 and 1947 editions of the Girl Scout Handbook. Very scarce Girl Scouts ephemera.

Green cover with gilt lettering. Very light wear at the corners of the cover. Light shelf dust to page edges, mainly at the top. Binding tight, inside is clean, nice, and unmarked. Contains summaries of medicinal substances which have been examined by the Council on Pharmacy and Chemistry of the AMA. 167 pages. This is the oldest edition I have ever seen on the Internet.

This is an "association copy"--given to a close friend of the author. Written in blue pen on the 1st page: "Dear Ed. I hope you enjoy this story. I have broken bread with you many times. May our friendship remain for our life time. Best wishes and God's Rich Blessing Phil Frances." Book in good condition--chips to the blue finish of the cover at the edges, light shelf dust/dirt on top page edges. Otherwise very good--clean, very low wear, binding tight. Dustjacket has a tear of several inches, some small missing pieces at the edges, and some light discoloration.
