Goodridge had signed on to a sealing expedition on the Princess of Wales and after stopping at Madeira, the Canary Islands, and the Cape Verde Islands, the ship was wrecked on one of the Crozet Islands. An Italian translation by G.B. Ramusio was published in his "Terzo volvme delle navigationi et viaggi ... Venetia, 1556." It was translated from the Italian into Spanish by Joaquin Garcia Icazbalceta, and published in his "Coleccion de documentos para la historia de Mexico," v. i, Mexico, 1858.
