Southern Historical Press, Inc., 2018. Soft cover. New. By: William Nelson, Pub. 1900, Reprinted 2019, 812 pages, soft cover, ISBN #0-89308-313-5. This book should be considered a MUST for researchers working on his mid-Atlantic State. For those researching a marriage, this book is considered the principal authority on early New Jersey marriages. It contains approximately 15,000 marriages, giving place of residence and date of marriage. The bulk of the work derives from marriage bonds and licenses formerly located in the Secretary of State's office. The balance--perhaps an additional 5,000 entries--were extracted from the marriage records of churches and counties in New Jersey. For the sake of simplicity the marriages are arranged in two alphabets, male and female. In total, there are almost 30,000 entries for the researcher to search.

Southern Historical Press, Inc., 2018. Book. New. Soft cover. The bulk of the work derives from marriage bonds and licenses formerly located in the Secretary of States office. The balance--perhaps an additional 5,000 entries--were extracted from the marriage records of churches and counties in New Jersey. For the sake of simplicity the marriages are arranged in two alphabets, male and female. In total, there are almost 30,000 entries for the researcher to search..
