Description:
London: Tetralith, 1973. First printing. Paperback. Very Good. 57 pp., large square 8vo. A Tetralith Quarto, in association with Writers Forum. A poem in 128 sections (printed in two columns throughout); Fetherston's idiosyncratic take on Lucretius (as he'd done earlier with Sappho, in Woman with Child). Mimeograph text in black plastic comb binding; errata sheet tipped to inside front cover. Some age-darkening to edges of covers and toning of text paper, still a very good copy of a quite uncommon book.

Description:
New York: Grove Press, 1960. First printing. 454 pp., 5.5 x 8.25 inches. Cloth over boards, in printed dust-jacket. A tight, clean copy, with just a touch of sunning at the top and bottom edges of the cloth, and a couple of minuscule spots on the front edge of the text block. In a bright, unclipped jacket with some fading around the spine, and a few tiny chips and closed edge tears. The cloth issue is scarce, especially so in any sort of jacket; a much nicer copy than usually seen. A previous bookseller's notation on the endsheet gives the provenance as contributor "Richard Duerden's review copy." The landmark anthology that brought the alternative and underground streams of midcentury American poetry to a wide audience for the first time, and that gave an umbrella name to the myriad postwar manifestations of nonacademic poetry. Allen gathered representative selections from forty-four poets, which he organized into five loose (and later much challenged) geographical groupings: Black Mountain (Charles… Read More

Edited by James Dunn, and with an introduction by the editor and publishers. As new. A New Book from Rome is a transcription (with some facsimile pages) of the contents of a notebook, a journal kept during "a six-month period from July, 1969 to January, 1970, covering his stint in Central Islip State Mental Hospital on Long Island to the time around Charles Olson's death when he was back in Massachussetts living with his parents." The five pieces of ephemera include: "The Flight of Stairs," a poem for Wieners by his friend and editor of the volume James Dunn (single sheet folded to make four pages, and also including a list of the ephemera); "John Wieners, NYC 1968," a photograph by Jerome Mallmann; "Photo of John Wieners, Sheraton University City Hotel, April 1997," a photograph by James Dunn; "Collage" by… Read More

Portland, OR: Anna Daedalus, 2018. First printing. (8) pp., 5 x 7.5 inches. Archival pigment prints from digital photographs. A single-sheet six-panel accordion, attached to front and rear boards covered in printed paper, for eight images total. Published in an edition of five signed and dated copies. Artist Anna Daedalus uses photography in a conceptual practice that often embraces environmental concerns through narrative and myth. For her series of Night Tree accordion books, she exploits a moving camera to make hybrid images that are simultaneously abstract compositions and heightened, animated depictions of trees. A near-fine copy; save for very faint traces of rubbing to edges of boards, essentially as new.
