Description:
Everyone (just about) knows who Leonardo is and these two volumes of his notebooks reveal much previously unknown about the great man. There are lots of sellers who call their books first editions. In the case of Reynal & Hitchcock the true first editions have no date on the backside of the title page. If the book has a date it is not really a first edition, at least in the case of this publisher.
These two volumes are about good, the slipcase seems to have been wet at some point in its life and is by no means perfect. Please look at my photos as they are worth a thousand words.
I have another 12 photos I will be happy to send anyone interested, including photos of the slipcase.
Biblio says I have to ship overseas but I don't know how so bear that in mind. The Biblio alternatives do not work because I don't live in a big city. Customs forms etc. etc. and high shipping costs and lots of time to figure something out make it very hard and expensive to ship overseas.
