London: Printed for J. Wilford, A. Dodd, W. Ells et al., 1732. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. The four parts are in one volume with varying printers per part. Part I printed in 1730, II & III in 1731, IV in 1732. They have 68, 80, 84, 80, bright, clear minimally toned pages gilt edged all around. It has a full leather binding which is rubbed through at some edges. The spine has five raised bands with gilt designs in the panes, however the title is missing and one panel has a small hole. The front hinge is split to small effect on the text block. The end papers are toned with a few pencil notes.

It is very lightly rubbed. more so at the ends of the spine with a couple of short pull tears at the top of the spine.It has 314, clear pages illustrated with black & white photos bound in blue cloth covered boards with gilt titles on the spine. There's a gilt decoration and white titles on the front. The end papers are toned and there's light soil on thepage edges.

This book, in a fine leather binding, is clean, tight, square with sharp corners and unmarked. At least "Aucassin" is a translation in prose and verse from the old French.The book, pretty much without reportable flaws, has blue marbled end papers with gilt edged paste downs and 106, bright, clear pages (gilt edged all around) illustrated with black & white engravings bound in gilt lined, blue/green leather covered boards with 5 raised nabds on the spine and panels with gilt tooled desiigns and gilt titles in a red and tan panel.

Edinburgh: William Blackwood and Sons, 1892. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good-/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. This book is clean, tight, square and unmarked. It is mildly rubbed at the edges, noticeable at the ends of the spine and tips of the corners. There is faint damp stain at the edges of the end papers and at th upper edge of the rearmost half dozen pages (within the ads). There is an insignificant split at the half title page. It has dark green end papers and 99, minimally toned pages plus 24 pages of ads bound in maroon cloth covered boards with gold titles on the spine. Hand written across the top of the title page is "with the compliments of the author" which we have assumed to be in the author's hand.

It has pale, marbled end papers and 211, 208, bright clear pages (gilt edged at the top, deckle edged elsewhere0 extensively illustrated with black & white drawings and tissue guarded plates in a three-quarter binding with green leather on the corners and spine. The spine, with five raised bands, has darkened to a brown color and the panels are embossed with gilt titles and decorations. The boards are covered with darkening, pale marbled paper. This is a handsome set.

The dust jacket is plain brown paper with red and black titles. The boards are covered in black leatherette with gold titles on the front. Full of great sepia photos of the missions. There's a small bookseller's paste down on the rear end papers.
