Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. The volume is bumped on the corners and spine ends with, additionally, fraying on the crown. The spine is sunned and mildly worn with some of the gilt backgrounds rubbed off. There is an ink name and date on the front endpaper and the first few leaves have creases on the bottom corners. Included are selections from Nelson Algren, Kay Boyle, Josephine W Johnson, MacKinlay Kantor, Ross Santee, William Saroyan, Thomas Wolfe, et al. First prize was awarded to Kay Boyle for "The White Horses of Vienna" and a special prize was awarded to Josephine Johnson for her short, short story "John the Six".

Congressional Record, 1821-1823. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. These extract records of Congress concern the trade value of settling the Columbia River Area. Half bound in leather over green cloth. The leather is edge rubbed, with exposed corners and chipping to a depth of 5/8" at each spine end. The endpapers have offsetting from the leather; some of the pages have light diagonal creases, and the fore and bottom edges of the 1821 & 1823 documents are water stained. Additionally, all document pages have an approximate 1/2" closed tear on the bottom edge.
