Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. The volume is bumped on the corners and spine ends with, additionally, fraying on the crown. The spine is sunned and mildly worn with some of the gilt backgrounds rubbed off. There is an ink name and date on the front endpaper and the first few leaves have creases on the bottom corners. Included are selections from Nelson Algren, Kay Boyle, Josephine W Johnson, MacKinlay Kantor, Ross Santee, William Saroyan, Thomas Wolfe, et al. First prize was awarded to Kay Boyle for "The White Horses of Vienna" and a special prize was awarded to Josephine Johnson for her short, short story "John the Six".

R. H. Russell, New York, 1902. First Edition. Hardcover. Good +. Stated "First Impression". The volume has a mildly sunned spine with subdued gilt stamped lettering (the lettering is moere intense on the front panel) and the spine ends and corners are lightly bumped and starting to fray. The pages are cracked in a few places with the sewn binding showing, although the binding is still fairly tight. A solid, but not spectacular copy.

Congressional Record, 1821-1823. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. These extract records of Congress concern the trade value of settling the Columbia River Area. Half bound in leather over green cloth. The leather is edge rubbed, with exposed corners and chipping to a depth of 5/8" at each spine end. The endpapers have offsetting from the leather; some of the pages have light diagonal creases, and the fore and bottom edges of the 1821 & 1823 documents are water stained. Additionally, all document pages have an approximate 1/2" closed tear on the bottom edge.

The volume is bumped at the spine ends and has some spotting on both the spine and front panel. The unclipped dust jacket is abraded with tears on the spine ends and corners, has a 3/4" closed tear on the top of the rear panel, and a 1/4" x 1/2" chip on the base of the rear panel.

Gray/green boards with black stamped lettering; beige cloth spine. The volume is bumped at the corners and is very lightly perimeter toned.

Top edges gilt; patterned endpapers. 12 (including frontis) illustrations in color. The volume is edge rubbed with corners bumped and showing on the bottom. Boards are gently bowed inward and the top gilt is rubbed. Except for some occasional soiling, the interior is in excellect condition.

The volume has light edge wear and spotting to the top stain, the text has some underlining and marginalia, and there is an ink ownership name on the front endpaper. Text in French.

Bibliothèque de la Pléiad. 1807 pp. Flexible brown leather with gilt stamped spine; rose topstain, two yellow nylon ribbon markers sewn in. The volume has very light edge wear, a stamped ownership design and name on the front pastedow under neath the jacket flap, and there are a series of bottom corner edges with creasesd corners. The dust jacket is edge rubbed with shallow chips, creases, and wrinkles. Text is in French.

Bibliothèque de la Pléiad. 1959 pp & 2044 pp. Flexible blue leather with gilt stamped spines; two yellow nylon ribbon markers sewn into each volume. The volumes are lightly edge rubbed and have some soiling on the page edges. Tome I has a series of leaves with tipped upper corners. The dust jackets of both volumes have sunned spines and edge wear to include shallow chips, wrinkles, and very short closed tears. Texts are in French.

The edge worn dust jacket is soiled, chipped at the spine ends and corners, has a 3/4" closed tear at the top of the front panel (extending halfway through the "C" in Doctor), and two 1/2" closed tears at the top of the rear panel. The jacket is now sleeved in mylar.

The unclipped dust jacket is rubbed on the folds and joints, soiled, and has some waviness on the front panel (although no physical evidence of moisture contact). The jacket is now sleeved in nylar.

Cole, Author". Light brown cloth, stamped in gilt on spine and stamped in gilt and blind on the front panel. Illustrated with numerous engraving; lacking the map (common with this title). The volume is bumped on the front fore-edge and corners, the spine ends are rubbed and lightly abraded, and the spine is gently toned. The front hinge is starting, leaves are lightly toned, and a few leaves have off-setting, apparently from pressed flowers or plants. An uncommon title.

The volume is bumped on the spine ends, has a bit of oning on the spine, and there is some light wrinkling near the top corner of the first few leaves. The dust jacket, is clipped on all corners (price of $2.50 is intact), has light edge wear, shallow chips on the base of the two joints and the spine is mildly sunned.
