Penkovskiy Oleg

  • Book condition: Very Good
  • Quantity available: 1
Very clean book, with square boards, clean pages, and an excellent cloth binding, with no jacket, and previous owner's signature on fep (forward endpaper). Penkovskiy was probably the true life model Tom Clancy used when he wrote The Cardinal In The Kremlin. The information this well placed and highly intelligent Soviet man gave the West provided crucial insight into the workings of the Soviet hierarchy, and the apparent willingness of Krushchev (who, remember, was a member of Stalin's inner circle) to commit to an all out nuclear war with the West to achieve his goals of supremacy. A brave and revealing testimony.
