Each book about 5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches. Each bound in bright blue cloth with dark blue lettering and with a circular color pictorial head and shoulders portrait of Patty on the front cover. Books are publisher dated on the title page as follows: eight in 1927; one in 1926; eight in 1924. Eight books have a frontis illustration on glossy paper--remainder of books with no illustrations. All have a previous owner inscription at the front dated in 1927 or 1928. Some lucky young girl got these as a set over a two year period from a loving aunt. It is difficult enough to find any of the Dodd, Mead editions in decent shape with a dust wrapper but to find the complete set in matching covers and wrappers is almost unheard of.
