The BOOK is in near Fine condition with original brown card wrappers and a printed paper label to the spine as issued. Signed and dated by Fergus Allen to the front free end paper. The date of '17/8/95' was the date of Ted Hughes' 65th birthday and also the date the book was published. Fergus Allen (1921 -2017) was a high ranking civil servant from an Anglo Irish family, whose first collections of poems appeared when he was already over 70 years of age.
