BOOK INFO: The Palermo Stone is a stela, an inscribed upright stone slab, housed in a museum in central Palermo, that records some of Egypt's earliest dynasties, a cousin of the Rosetta Stone. The Palermo Stones here seem to refer to some Sicilian relatives or perhaps leaders of the Sicilian mafia, (a photo identifies them as Gina and Steve). Written in a stream-of-consciousness mode, the book bounces from the U.S. to Sicily, illustrated with several B&W photos, and ending with an appeal to drink Sicilian orange juice. (The author is also chairman of the board for Our World Enterprises. From the back: 'This is European Woodstock meets the Rock and Roll Godfather...called back by the Sicilian farmers in the neighborhood of the real founders of the Sicilian Mafia.'
