Undated but ca late 1940s hardcover as pictured. A pictorial history of the Fifth Air Force Fighter Command in the Pacific theater of operations during World War II. This copy has seen considerable use and is in less than optimal condition but remains quite readable and is a unique historical document. Blue cloth boards with dark blue stamping show edge wear and bumped corners. Text block has detached from spine at front hinge. First several pages are loose and nearly detached from binding. Page 13/14 is torn at bottom and detached. Page 15/16 is missing. Text with some underling and notations. Its purpose was to provide small sculptures for the public at a time when full size marble statues were gracing the homes of wealthy people.
