Contains around eighty patterns for kniting or crocheting articles using Pearsall's knitting silks (now no longer available, but there are apparently fly-tying silks which are similar). Includes patterns for ladies' stockings (the old-fashioned type that comes just above the knee), gent's socks, ties, items for babies, gent's waistcoats, and other items such as egg cosies, gent's braces, and silk purses (no sow's ears needed!).
