A collection of stories on Samurais and the Samurai tradition in Japan, mostly portraying gay/homosexual love stories and anecdotes among the samurai, and drawing mostly from Ihara's "Glorious Stories of Homosexuality." Saikaku Ihara was a 17th century Japanese poet and writer, originating the Floating World style, as well as responsible for many works chronicle amorous affairs. GOOD condition. General uneven fading and toning to the covers. Minor soiling and edgewear. Owner's inscription present. Page edges foxed. Minor toning to the paper.

A novel for a juvenile audience, following the adventures of a boy on Cape Ann in Massachusetts. By Lee Kingman, a Massachusetts based author and illustrator, who was also known for her fabric printing. POOR jacket on a GOOD book. Jacket torn, chipped and tattered, with flaps detached and laid in. Some soiling, scuffing and minor toning to the jacket. No Place: No publisher. Unbound. Very Good. 8 ½ by 11 inches. Printed on a single side only. Photomechanically reproduced flier for a concert at the Grove (presumably in San Luis Obispo) held on Sat. April 12. As indicated, the show was a mod rally of sorts, with the flier depicting mods on Vespas and other male mod images. During the 1980s, Southern California was home to a mod revival, revisiting the mod revival in the UK that peaked in the late 1970s, early 1980s, (which in turn revisited the original mod scene of the 1960s). The Question was one of the most popular Southern California based mod bands, with Secret Service a band from New York also known for its interpretation of 1960s mod. VERY GOOD condition. Very small spot of staining to the lower left. Minor curling.
