Letter from the author, a noted naval historian covering three pages and outlining his overall thoughts on service with Q-Ships. Letter is hand written on Royal Thames Yacht Club writing paper and is stuck to front paste down. Also tipped in on FFE is a very good pen and ink sketch of "Brig-10", signed W.E.P. This ship is featured in the book. Frontis. Contents clean with numerous b/w plates. Rough cut pages. Various newspaper items on Q-Ships laid in. One internal crack and plate is detached and laid in opp.p.176. Index.

This is the Army List for January 1918 corrected to 31 December 1917. Also contains 16 pages of publisher's adverts at rear. This is a scarce volume in this extended edition and contains full war service records of serving officers. Front endpaper is loose and laid in, otherwise contents clean and binding sound.
