Ragtime

Doctorow E. L

There is a puzzle about this book- it is a stated first edition, but has no price printed on dustjacket, yet it is not a book club edition. Occasionally in the 1970's, Random House would publish "complimentary copies" and this may be one. The book itself has clean pages, with the exception of a one word on fep, the previous owner's name, an excellent binding, square boards and clean cloth on boards, and a dustjacket with minimal wear on top and bottom, but no tears or rubbing, and is protected by mylar cover.
