With engravings throughout in plates and text after drawings by Randolph Caldecott, many in colour. Very Good condition overall. Covers largely clean and bright with some browning and rubbing to edges. Front internal hinge split though binding sound. Most pages clean with some light browning or spotting; One page has a large tear without loss.

Detailed history of the RFC and RNAS including aircraft, airships, balloons, motor vehicles, service, uniforms, women's branches, and the minor conflicts at the end of WW1. Very Good in Very Good jacket. Light bumps to cover edges. Jacket has some light edgewear. Pictures available.

A Good+ copy, square and well-bound, clean pages though quite heavily tanned to edges and margins and witha few nicks to fore-edges; original 1964 owner's details inside front wrapper. Wrappers browned to margins and with small marks lower front; light wear to edges.

A Very Good+ copy in a very good dust jacket.

Yellow cloth, lettered and blocked in black, no dustjacket probably as issued. 138pp. With 16 b&w photos in plates, showing action from races, mostly at Goodwood, many involving the author. Includes chapters on racing in Jersey and Silverstone. Nicely presented little book in Very Good condition, just a few light marks to covers.

Cream boards with red horse motif to front, no dustjacket. 98pp. With nice colour illustrations by PEB and others, (incl. caricatures of jockeys), and b&w photos. Pictorial endpapers show the racing colours of the stables. All aspects of the French horse racing scene in the Paris area. Covers patchily browned and rubbed. Pages clean apart from spotting to closed edges. A Good+ copy.

With colour plate frontispiece drawing (The Sport's Commentator's Nightmare) , plus a mixture of part-colour and mostly b&w illustrated stories and comic strips throughout. Stars featured include Arthur Askey, Vera Lynn (a four page story by her), Jewell & Warris, Professor Jimmy Edwards, Petula Clark, as well as adventure and detective stories. Good copy: boards are generally worn to edges and rather dulled, Pages mostly well-bound, with some leaves at front loosening; with occasional smudge marks and spots. With 24 tissue-guarded plates from sepia wash drawings by the author, with her verses printed opposite, mainly on themes of children and mothers. Foreword by HJC on the author, who had died in 1926. This is a Good copy due to the lower 2cm corner of each page margin stained brown- otherwise very good pages, with light rubbing to cover edges and a little foxing to closed page edges.
