The story of two Edwardian children having a rainy holiday, which turns out to be just as enjoyable as a sunny one. It ends with their grandchildren visiting them on a seaside holiday many years later. Lovely coloured illustrations throughout.

Previous owner’s initials, dated 1963, handwritten on front free endpaper. 2 stories originally published in the New Yorker featuring Seymour Glass, one of a family of settlers in twentieth century New York.

Some damp staining on covers, slightly cocked, a little edge wear to corners. Generally nice and clean inside, occasional marks. A gentle stroll through some of the Lowlands of Scotland. Many of these features still exist and you can walk in his footsteps should you wish to.
