Description:
Akron, OH: Saalfield Publishing, 1930. Hardcover. Collectible; VG-. Fern Bisel Peat. No printing statement, probable first edition (the pictures are sparkling!), folio, illustrated paper-covered boards / rust linen spine, 59 pages, 12 full -page color illustrations. VERY GOOD- condition /no jacket: light rubbing to spine extremities, board edges and corners are just opening, light scratching and faint soiling to rear board, internally clean and tight throughout, all illustrations all present with four of them just starting to pull away from the hinge (though they look as though they were bound in this way), and one has a very tiny tear at the spine tail hinge. Description:
Bedford, MA: The Authors - Edward and Evelyn Stickney, 1965. Soft cover. Very Good. Originally published in 1956, revised 1961, 1965. 8vo, stapled pamphlet, 22 pages, b/w photographs. Condition is VERY GOOD: there is a bend to the covers and pages at the fore-edge, author names written on title page - this may be a signature, or one writing both names as the writing is the same for both names. A letter dated January 1965 is laid in, and the last page (21-22) is typewritten and inserted rather than stapled in. The Stickneys revised this again in 1976 as new Revere bells came to light. An invaluable resource.
