Publisher's original rust colored cloth over boards, lettering in gilt and silver to spine and front cover, kind of a wine colored topstain, rose maybe. Dust Jacket Condition: very light wear to the extremities, a crinkle or two visible on the black areas with a small divot (replaced) to upper panel; some faint toning to the white areas (lower panel); price intact and on the whole a very frisky looking presentation of unfaded rainbows all round. Description:
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1971. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good-. 407 pages ; 21 x 14 cm. Hardcover. Publisher's original red colored cloth over boards, lettering in gilt and silver to spine and front cover, teal colored topstain. Book Condition: lettering bright, binding sound, interior feels unread, spine ends gently pushed, else fine with a brilliant and unmarred top stain. Dust Jacket Condition: very light wear to the extremities, nicks and natters along the edges but minimal and unobtrusive, very bright, unfaded and fresh just like one looks for; this is upset by a gouge to the front panel, top edge, closed tear and middish size chip with loss of 3/4" x 1" surface color. The photograph tells all though, and this flaw in an otherwise sharp looking jacket either puts you of or it does not. Price intact, flaps all lovely.
