Los Angeles: Will Carter / UCLA, 1969. First Edition. Broadside. Good. Illustrated By Will Carter. Copy signed by the author and inscribed "For Lillian with love Will Carter". Lillian is Lillian Marks of the Plantin Press, where this broadside was on the wall of the print studio for many years. Printed letterpress in 2 colors with an illustration by Will Carter at the Rampant Lions Press. Printed as a keepsake for Carter's lecture in the UCLA lecture series "Taste in Typography." Please note: This is similar to, but not to be confused with, the broadside Carter issued with the same title in the same year marking his artist-in-residence tenure at Dartmouth College. 15.25 x 10.25 inches. A very good copy (has two slight tears on the lower left side, crease and two pin holes in the top and bottom - not affecting text).
