Gilded spines. Raised hubs. Elaborate gilded framing and tooling on the covers. marbled edges and end papers. Printed on thick quality paper. Wide margins. 9.25 inches tall. Roughly 14.5 inches of shelf space. In excellent condition. Very fresh and well preserved, the leather is very supple, hinges all strongly attached, although there is some starting that has been arcivally sealed, no risk of dismemberment. Some light general rubs/wear. Printed on quality paper that is fresh and bright, some minimal foxing, but more prevalent upfront. No writing. Early bookplate. Bound in the highest quality, full calf leather bindings. These display beautifully.

Printed on quality rag paper. 7 inches tall. 8 inches of shelf space. In good condition. These are the original leather bindings. All the hinges are strongly attached and held firmly by the underlying binding cords, although there is starting. Some foxing. Some general external wear, as shown. Some abrasion and some of the labels are chipped off. Some general rubbing. Still a fully intact antiquarian set of the spectator from the 1700's. Printed on rag paper with engraved frontisplates.
