The tan covers are in good condition. There is some creasing on the covers and their corners. There is some loss to artwork (about 1" x 1 1/2" area) on front cover and a couple of very small spots on the back. Still, the lettering and artwork on the covers and spine are in generally good condition. The binding is solid, the front cover is starting to detach from the spine at the bottom. The interior of the book is in very good condition. There is no writing or significant spotting/foxing detected; the pages are clean and bright. The front free endpaper and top corner of some pages are mildly creased. This catalog is profusely illustrated throughout with many pictures of tools; it also contains numerous tables with information about tools and prices. The title and author are in gold on the spine; there is mild wear at the corners and top/bottom of spine. The binding is solid. The dust jacket is in good condition; there is some minor loss at the top of the spine and there are a few small tears along the edges, all less than 1 in. in length. The front of the dust jacket is bright and attractive; the jacket is protected in a clear, archival removable cover. The interior of the book is clean with no spotting detected; the only writing is a small, faint, erased price in the top right corner of the front free endpaper. The front paper cover of this booklet is completely detached, but present; the back cover is partially detached. There are also some chips in the covers, especially a large one on the top of front cover (approx. 1" x 1"). The binding is otherwise tight and intact. The rest of the booklet is in generally good condition, the only other significant blemishes are the ex-library markings. On the front cover, there is a small New York State Library stamp along with one on the inside of the back cover. On the bottom of the verso of the title page, there is a small stamp and writing that indicate this booklet was a gift of the A. R. Spofford estate in 1908. This could refer to Ainsworth R. Spofford (1825-1908) who served as the Librarian of Congress from 1864 to 1897.
