All designs are complete with all necessary drawings, written instructions, and specifications, with may useful hints on small boat building.

A fine volume, containing text on the ships of the early nineteenth-century navy, and ninety stunning plates (selected from the collection of marine art amassed by A.G.H. MacPherson; each plate fully described and annotated. Corners and ends of spine bumped with some fraying. Cover clean and gilt bright, a bit rubbed. Binding is tight. Text is clean and unmarked, some soft-pencil bibliographic markings. A handsome book with gorgeous plates. Heavy extra postage at cost. Heavy requires more postage.

Blue cloth, gilt lettering on boards and spine, t.e.g, 32 cm; xiv, 1, 78 p., 1, 90 plates from the Macpherson collection of naval ships including a fold out of HMS Royal Albert; of these plates, colour reproductions are tipped in. Includes a brief history of the ships in each plate and a Royal Navy Admiralty list from 1798-1805. and includes an index and a discussion of steam beginning to be adopted by the navy. Heavy - will require additional postage.

Binding tight, not ex-lib, but boards are showing signs of wear and minor warping, guilt lettering on spine and front board still bright. Life in the Royal Canadian Navy, with many potographs; this account from the lower deck has become a classic in its genre.

Charles Scribner's Sons, New York | London, 1934 first edition xii, 301 p. , charts of courses on end papers and photographs. Very good, minor discolouration to boards and slight foxing. The story of the schooner 'Elfie M. Morrissey' under the command of Captain Bob Bartlett, and her trips to Greenland, Alaska and the Canadian Arctic from 1925-33. Foreword by Lawrence Perry. In 1924, after his expeditions with Peary and Stefansson, he purchased the Effie M. Morrissey. Bartlett sailed the schooner North on numerous voyages and expeditions. Included are chapters on his voyages to Labrador, north Greenland, Foxe Channel, Bering Strait, East Greenland - 'the land of the Eskimos', and back to north Greenland to erect the Peary Memorial Pillar.

Doubleday, Garden City, 1978 book club ed., 316 p., b/w maps, sketches, 22 cm. good/good slight foxing on edges. An autobiography of a Japanese fighter pilot who fought like the Samurai. He was in 200 dogfights and downed many Allied planes and was considered Japan's greatest fighter pilot.

Sea Breezes is a magazine published monthly that is devoted to the worldwide shipping industry. This 12 issue set from 1983 are in a very good condition with some light foxing around the edges, fading of the covers, and some small pen notations on the cover.
