The cloth shows mild edgewear with small frays at the heel and the corners; the spine carries a small rectangle that seems to indicate this copy was once part of someone's library, but there are no other indications, either internal or external (see photo). No internal marks or writing. Hinges solid; binding square. A tight copy with only minor wear. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

Volume 2 in Lantern's "Teen-Age" series. An early reprint, with titles listed on the rear panel of the dust wrapper dating no later than 1948. The cloth shows light wear with a bit of creasing to the spine. Former owner's name to the front free endpaper, otherwise unmarked. The jacket is lacking 1" at the head of the spine and 1/2" at the heel. There is a creased tear to the upper front corner. Hinges solid; binding square. The jacket is now in mylar. Very difficult to locate in a Lantern Press edition.

Corresponding 1946 dates to the title and copyright pages, indicating the first edition. No additional printings. 280 pages. (See photos for list of authors provided on the front panel of the dust wrapper). No mention in this volume of any other titles, pending or otherwise. The cloth shows only a few faint marks, as if a damp hand had once touched the book. Virtually no wear; the book is clean, tight and unmarked with solid hinges and a square binding. The dust jacket has a sun-faded spine with a 1-1/4" x 3/4" chip at the head of the spine; the rear panel is a bit soiled and has a couple of light stains. Early printing of this title, listing only three "Teen-Age" titles on the rear panel of the dust wrapper and a single title, "Jerry Dowd, Fraternity Man", also published in 1947, on the rear flap. The first "Teen-Age" title, "Companion", was published in 1946; this was followed by three more in the 1947, only two of which are listed on this book. Burt in the blue format with glossy frontis and three glossy internals. Hinges are tight. Binding are square.White lettering on cover is clear and bright. The spine shows some fading and the white spine lettering has faded.
