The slipcase is in very good condition with a couple of small dents but no significant markings or staining on it. The binding is solid; there is a little separation between the spine and binding at the top of the spine. The interior is in very good plus to near fine condition. All pages are clean and bright with no writing or markings. The books appear to be unread. This is a nice, collectible copy. The green covers are in very good condition with some bumping/rolling on top and bottom of spine and corners and some minor scuffing on edges . There is some faint staining on front cover. The title, author and publisher are in black on front cover and in bright gold on the spine. The binding is solid, although the front hinge is a bit loose. The interior of this book is in very good condition. The pages are clean and bright, there is no writing, markings, or foxing detected. The book includes 8 full-page plates of black/white photographs. There are numerous other figures and data tables throughout the text. Chapter titles include "The Composition of Fruits", "Pruning", and "Pollination and the Sterility Problem".

The dust jacket has light fraying around the edges and the spine is mildly sunned; it is price-clipped; otherwise it is in very good condition and in a clear Mylar protective cover. The interior pages are very clean and bright; the only writing is a previous owner name in ink on the inside of the front cover. The book includes discussions and black/white photographs of people important to Western New York history, including Mary Jemison, Susan B. Anthony and Buffalo Bill Cody. 157 pages.

A few white specks on the back cover. Title, author, and publisher stamped in gold on the very attractive spine. The interior pages are very bright and clean. There is some writing in pencil on the inside front cover and the back free end paper. No other writing or spotting detected in this book. This is a thick book, but the binding is very solid and firm. Overall, the condition is very good. The book contains a number of articles written by different authors including J.W. Jenks, Edward Meade, and Francis Walker.

The dust jacket is faded in spots on front with significant faded color loss on spine, but the printing is clear. The back of the dust jacket includes a black and white photo of the author. The interior of the book is in very good condition, it is bright, there is no writing. The frontispiece is a nice color illustration of tundra birds by wildlife artist George Miksch Sutton.
