Three works in one volume; octavo; [viii],75, [i]pp; xi, 108pp; [iv], 71, [i]pp. In contemporary full calf with gilt rolls to board edges (front board detached, spine rubbed with minor loss of leather at head and foot, spine label missing), marbled page edges, matching marbled endpapers, very occasional unobtrusive spots and browning, neat early ink ownership name to opening blank, otherwise clean and unmarked, complete with half titles to Giaour and Corsair. A collection of early editions of these popular Byron classics, still attractive despite its tired binding.

York and London: York: Thomas Wilson, High Ousegate. (and:) London: A.Millar et al, 1791. Full leather. Good. Two early examples of Walkingame's Tutor's Assistant; the 26th edition printed by A.Millar, London 1791; and Crosby's 'New Edition' printed in York, 1815. The London edition in original eighteenth century full leather, well worn and soiled, with an abundance of early ink inscriptions, lacking free endpapers and the folding frontispiece table, otherwise complete. The York edition complete with folding table, boards stained and somewhat warped, paper rather browned, early inscriptions to endpapers and early booksellers label to front pastedown ('Deighton, Bookseller and Stationer, 53 High Street, Worcester'). Two early working copies of this popular manual of arithmetic.

First edition, octavo, three volumes; 315, 319, 356pp. In contemporary half leather over marbled boards (a little worn), four raised spine bands, gilt lettered red morocco title labels to second compartments, remaining compartments richly gilt. Spotting and staining to early and closing leaves of each volume, author's name inscribed to title page, first quire of vol.1 misbound, otherwise a very good clean copy. Attractive copy of St.Leger's increasingly uncommon final novel, the last before his untimely death at the age of thirty following an epileptic seizure.

Collection of separately paginated dramatic works issued as Vol. 10 of Inchbald's's British Theatre, each play with its own title page and frontispiece; 12mo, in contemporary early nineteenth century half calf (somewhat worn with very minor loss to extremities, early owners ink inscription to front pastedown, a few leaves misbound and protruding slightly at fore-edge but still well bound in). Occasional spotting and paper browning but overall a very good copy.

This edition bears no date but its paper, typeface and inscriptions put it approximately between 1850 and 1860, and certainly no later than 1871.
