A chance encounter on a train in 1943 with Chief Radioman Eckberg led to an interview and book about the USS Seawolf and her exploits in World War II up to August 1943. The Seawolf set out to sea on 8 Dec 41 and during her first fourteen patrols, she sank 27 enemy ships, and damaged 13. This gave her total tonnage for ships sunk and damaged of 108,600 and 69,600, respectively. She roamed all over the South Pacific and her record made her one of the most lethal submarines afloat in the early part of WWII. This book covers her time at sea and life on board a submarine at war. A clean very presentable copy.
