Board tips are rubbed and bumped. Crown of spine rubbed through, and foot of spine has several nicks in the cloth. Upper board gilt ship illustration remains quite bright, but the single-ruled white border has faded segments. Spine lettering has faded completely. A serviceable First edition copy, withal.
