New York: Harpers, No date on the title pages, copyright pages dated late [1800's through early 1900's.] [Research indicates this set was printed in 1909.]. THE AUTHOR'S NATIONAL EDITION. Bound in red faux leather bindings (painted cloth). Gilded spines. Printed on quality paper. Illustrated with plates. VERY GOOD condition, but with some general wear. There is some uneven spine fading, as shown in the pictures. Some general wear, as shown. The spine on Huckleberry Finn has a crease and is a lighter color binding. No previous signs of ownership. Early sets of Twain's works are not very common. This set displays beautifully. Twain died in 1910, this was the final set issued during his lifetime and is the authorized uniform edition of all his books, printed in 1909.
