The BOOKS retain their original decorated publisher's boards. The first volume comprises bound issues of the Pearson's Magazine from January to June 1897 and is in Very Good+ condition. All edges plain. Some pushing at the spine ends and early cracking to the hinges but the binding remains tight. The second volume comprises bound issues of the Pearson's Magazine from July to December 1897 and is in Very Good- condition. All edges gilt. Some pushing at the spine ends and early cracking to the hinges. Cracking to the binding at pages 504-5 but the binding remains tight in the two sections. Description:
The first UK printing published by Lupus Music in 1969 . The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Just a hint of pushing at the spine ends with a tiny area of rubbing to the lower corners. Publisher's photographic hardcovers. Free from inscriptions. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with just a little light toning to the edges. It replicates the cover design. A very small amount of creasing and rubbing at the spine tips with a tiny amount of rubbing to the corners. The wrapper looks striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. A notoriously fragile production and extremely uncommon in this condition. Songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan went through various personas and images, but is best remembered as a pioneer of the Glam-rock era of the early-mid '70s and the co-creator of T-Rex (1968-70), a psychedelic-folk rock acoustic band, playing Bolan's deceptively melodic songs-complete with J. R. R. Tolkien-influenced lyrics. Bolan published this, his only collection of verse in 1969;… Read more
