Gift inscription dated 1874 in contemporary florid hand. Covers uniformly darkened a bit, moderate wear at corners and hinges, still solidly bound, foxed at prelims and rears. WorldCat lists only 6 collections with this edition with the American title.

Cheever's two Wapshot titles, both first editions, absent any names, bookplates or inscriptions, both dustjackets unclipped. Chronicle, 1957, dustjacket is moderately worn/chipped about the edges, and the spine a wee sun-faded with some shallow chipping at ends. Scandal, 1964, dustjacket has some incidental wear spine head, otherwise nicely preserved.

London: Collins, 1955. Firts English-language Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. A three volume set, all first edtions of the English translation, of DeGaulle's WWII memoirs. (The set does not include a documents volume that was published with each book.) Collins published the first part; Weidenfeld and Nicolson published the second and third volumes. Solid copies all around, there are some chips along the edges of some duistjacket and, most notably, one of the dustjacket spines is faded. Each absent any ownership marks. Rather uncommon to find a set of firsts.

R. Apr 1933" Rice wrote We, The People as a warning shot to Americans about the rise of Hitler and fascism. Rice was one of the founders in 1938 of the Playwrights' Company, along with Maxwell Anderson, Robert E. Sherwood, Kurt Weil and lawyer John F. Wharton. The Adding Machine has been revived in recent years, this uncommon first edition of the play a production of The Theatre Guild. Rare in first edition; the inscription sui generis.

Fabulous 1931 Art- Deco period trade catalogs cum samplers printed by Westvaco to show off how effectively its paper for printing could be used for commercial and aesthetic purpose. This 1931 series includes all issues for the year, numbers 61 - 70, bound in sleek Art Deco designed green cloth cover stamped in silver, which is moderately worn at edges and smudged/ soiled here and there. Internals fine displaying color printing processes brilliantly. Issue 63, includes a 4-page illustrated article on American typographer and book designer Will Bradley.
