No dust jacket. Very little wear. Blue fabric covered boards with a waxy-feeling coating, with gilt print on the spine. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with many maps and illustrations, all in black and white. May have never been read. The tale of a Native American who made a trip similar to Lewis and Clark, with less support staff and over 100 years earlier. This rather scarce book will ship at over two pounds. The only flaw is a manufacturing error where three sheets, starting at page 105, got creased between the printing and the binding. This meant that they didn't get cut correctly and are a bit wider than the rest of the pages (see photos #4 - 5). Still readable, as all the words are there.

Signed and dated (1976) with an inscription on the front endpaper. Seems to be a very rare book. Also possibly the only book by this author and the only copy available to purchase. A small book of many short poems.

Very little wear, this book is in great shape. Ten stories where you get to decide the truth. Probably best for middle elementary readers.

The Detective Book Club produced volumes of three crime novels from 1942 to 1999. Originally monthly, near the end they dwindled down to just a few per year. Many famous detective and crime novelists had their early works featured in DBC editions. The fabric is worn through in a couple places along the top edge and along the lower part of the right side edges, both front and back, is darkened over the spine and has small bleached area on the rear (4 cm x 1.5 cm). A small dampstain at the top left front, contained by the endpapers. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked, except for a couple of stamps from the previous owner, the YWCA of Quincy, Illinois. Introduction by Jane Addams. Appears to be a very rare book.
