Profusely illustrated throughout with full-page monochrome photographs printed on glossy stock; quarto, original tan cloth. 194 pp. "Yangtze Remembered is a portrait of the Yangtze River and its people before, during, and after the completion of the Three Gorges Dam." Nearly 1.3 million people were displaced and more than 300 miles of the Yangtze River Valley were submerged by the reservoir behind the dam.
