About This Item

London : Macmillan, 1989. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fair/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Ex-library hardback, with a neat jacket. Book has heavy lean, slightly wavy pages, missing FEP, pencil notation to front pastedown, barcode sticker to rear pastedown. Single library stamp to copyright page, no other stamps or markings. The good points include reasonably sharp boards and gilt title. Clean half title and title pages. text block has expected toning. However the jacket (due to being previously protected) is nice and tidy, minor indentations to panels, tiny amount of crimping to edges, and small amount of wear to the edges of the inner flaps. A fair book in a very good or better jacket. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. This book is what it is, a nice jacket, with a free ex-lib book. Certainly could be of interest to a collector who has a signed jacketless copy of this title, or needs to replace a poor jacket on an otherwise fine book.
