London, U.K.: J. Andrews/W. Cole, 1826. No dust jacket. Suede boards with leather spine. Former owner's name penned in copperplate writing on front pastedown. Suede boards are faded, worn and scratched, with numerous small stains. Spine has a small stain and is lightly bumped at ends. Leading corners are worn, with some fabric loss. Page block is a little faded, with one or two small grubby marks. Pastedowns, endpapers and pages are quite age-spotted, with heavier spotting at beginning and end of book. Front hinge is protected with tape; back hinge is a little cracked. Binding appears relatively sound. Text is clear. AF. First Edition. hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Illus. by Dagley, R.. Used.

Second edition, enlarged. The first edition was published in London in 1826, this second, enlarged edition was published in London the following year. Leather a bit scuffed, internally fine.
