From the "VIEWS OF JAPAN" series, . *** WHO WAS TSUCHIYA KOITSU [1870-1949]: Shin-Hanga Artist: Koitsu, born in Hamatsu, Shizuoka prefecture, he studied with the carver Matsuzaki, who worked for the famous painter and print artist Kobayashi Kiyochika. He then worked with Kiyochika and was published by Watanabe & Doi. .
