AWASHIMA SHRINE & HARBOR . * Executed in four pastel colors, this is a tender view of the area including the two small barrier islands, the stone jetty, harbor and fishermen working a large net. . The famous shrine occupies a hill with a commanding ocean view, a large court yard and small out-buildings. The small fishing villages occupies the beach-front with lots of small stores and stalls. A group of sailing vessels are anchored in the harbor, clouds encroach from the south.
