Palmer COX. 12mo; 108pp; tan cloth printed in dark green with Brownies within a border; pictorial endpapers of Brownies in a school room, neat gift inscription to front pastedown dated Jan. 1918; ownership to ownership page; illustrated throughout text, illustrations and text in green and mustard ink; light soiling and wear to boards, a few page smudges; very good. Intricate wood-engraved illustrations of Palmer Cox's Brownies scampering over the book pages with easy to read text, some of it in rhyme. An engaging early reading book.
