Paris: Editions de la Couronne, 1947. Octavo (18 x 12 cm.) xx, 222, [1] pages. Index. Illustrated. FIRST TRADE EDITION, following a limited issue of 150 copies on velin alma du marais. One of the many works (nearly 65) of Curnonsky, "Prince of Gastronomes" who is widely credit for linking dining and travel. Together with his friend Marcel Rouff, he compiled the magnificent, twenty-eight volume France Gastronomique, essentially a travelogue of a nine-year journey eating their way through every department of France. The current work has three hundred recipes, gathered from many contemporary chefs. Some age-toning to text block; in publisher's paper covered boards printed in red and black. Some separating at spine, and rubbing to edges. Good. With the bookplate of Pat Kelly.
