Black and white illustrations throughout. Volume III. Beige slipcase. Book is in better condition than most examples of this age. Neat, clean, well bound pages with very minimal foxing, tanning and thumbing. Small inscriptions and neat labels may be present. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Slipcase is lightly sunned, scuffed and torn.

The tanned pages are in good clean condition, with about 150 pages having a small soil spot in the side margin and the same on the page edging. There is a name printed on the front end paper. The hinges are beginning to crack, however the cover is firmly attached. The cover has some light corner wear and some very light scuffing. The spine has light end wear and is darkened.
