A complete run in 5 issues of the short-lived German art magazine, unpaginated, edited by Werner Lippert and featuring artistic contributions often created especially for this magazine by important figures in the fields of conceptual art, land art, minimalism, installation art, and other notable 20th century art movements. Profusely illustrated throughout, including reproductions from photographs and drawings, some printed on varying types of paper stock. 4to. Original illustrated wrpps., most with minor handling wear and rubbing especially along spines. Cologne (L. Böhm-Marquardt) 1974-1975. The artistic contributors to Extra included Hans Haacke, Urs Lüthi, Daniel Buren, Duane Michals, Joseph Kosuth, Jean Le Gac, Bernar Venet, Anne + Patrick Poirier, Antonio Dias, Karl Blossfeldt, Joseph Kosuth, Iole de Freitas, Robert Barry, Terry Atkinson, Hanne Darboven, Ralph Gibson, Roman Opalka, Sol LeWitt, David Askevold, Giuseppe Penone, Rune Mields, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Lewis Baltz, and Gilberto Zorio. Issue no. 5 is accompanied by a letter from Lippert which reads, "Dear Subscriber: Please excuse us for being late this time. We are so late as our printer refused to print this issue because of Hans-Peter Feldmann's contribution." Feldmann's contribution consisted of 8 photographs of nude women from magazines.
