About This Item
This American diver won bronze in springboard at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and gold at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne; among many other titles he won two medals at the 1955 Pan American Games; in 1980 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Handsome bold signature and credentials ("Olympic Champion / Springboard Diving / Melbourne -- 1956") in black fineline on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., dated by him 15 October 1985 at upper right. Fine. With original envelope.
