About This Item
"Eleanor Roosevelt." 1 page, 9 ½" x 6", The White House letterhead to Mrs. William Randolph Hearst at 137 Riverside Drive, New York, N.Y. Roosevelt asks Mrs. Hearst to help seek a position for her friend Genevieve Forbes Herrick (1894-1962) who had resigned from her position at the Chicago Tribune in May, 1934. Very good. Together with The White House envelope postmarked June 13, 1934.
Herrick was a reporter favored by Mrs. Roosevelt, becoming one of "the favored four" and was often invited by Mrs. Roosevelt to lunch at The White House.
