N.p.: N.p., 1977. Archive of 15 vintage reference photographs taken on the sets (both in studio and on location) of the 1977 film. Also included are two xerographically duplicated press releases describing aerial and parachuting scenes filmed in The Netherlands, with the assistance of the Royal Air Force. Also included with the archive is a manuscript letter on British Army of the Rhine letterhead, addressed to associate producer John Palmer from army public relations agent Major Ron Roberts, introducing the photographs and the news releases. Many photographs with the stamp of British Army of the Rhine Public Relations to the verso, and three photographs with the stamps of still photographers Bob Penn and Frank Connor.

Based on the 1974 book by journalist and historian Cornelius Ryan. A dramatization of Operation Market Garden, the Allied mission to capture three strategically important bridges in the Netherlands in order to break German lines and hasten the end of World War II.

The photographs in the archive range from close-up shots of various crew members on the set to distance views of cast and crew members during location filming in Deventer and Zutphen, as well as several group shots of crew members posing near various aircraft depicted in the film.
