Final Shooting script for the 1950 film "Louisa," here seen on the title page under its original title "I Love Louisa," which is crossed through in pencil and replaced with "Louisa" written above in black holograph ink. A light comedy about a charismatic older woman who comes to live with her architect son (played by Ronald Reagan) and his family, striking up an unexpected romance with the local grocer. Things get far more complex when Reagan's boss also develops an interest in her, attempting to get between the new couple. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound Recording. Red titled wrappers, noted as FINAL SHOOTING SCRIPT on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 7676, dated December 19, 1949. Title page present, with credits for screenwriter Roberts. 132 leaves, mechanical duplication. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine bound with three gold brads.

Universal City, CA: Universal Pictures, 1949. Final Shooting script for the 1950 film, here under the working title "I Love Louisa." Copy belonging to an unknown crew member, with substantive manuscript ink and pencil annotations throughout, and a manuscript ink annotation on the front wrapper reading "Copy from which we mimeod [sic] Final Script / 12/19/49." An older woman is involved in a love triangle with a grocer and her son's boss, to the displeasure of her family. Red titled wrappers, noted as Final Shooting Script on the front wrapper, dated December 19, 1949. Title page present, noted as Final Screenplay, with credits for screenwriter Stanley Roberts. 131 leaves on onionskin stock, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads.
